| THE MUSE SERIES - OPEN DOORS, OPEN WINDOWS "This series takes its inspiration directly from the Theatre. Each work is a mock stage or “theatre in the round” combining terra cotta figures with a partitioned environment. The Figurative Sculptures represent Muses or inner voices that speak to artistic and human sensibilities, while the partitions symbolize the unconscious mind and that which works invisibly to affect life. Thus the quotation from Shakespeare “All the world’s a stage,” is particularly applicable to the Muse Series.
